Our Mission

Minds IN Order exists to expand access to mental health education programs that produce real, measurable improvements in people's lives. We fund scholarships so that financial constraints don't determine who gets to benefit from evidence-informed tools for stability, awareness, and functioning.

Our Approach

We focus on education, not just treatment. The programs we support teach people to understand their own patterns, develop practical skills, and build lives that are not defined by their diagnosis. We believe that lasting wellness comes from knowledge and self-mastery, not just symptom management.

Our scholarship process is simple: apply, get reviewed, get access. No income verification, no lengthy paperwork. We review applications to prevent spam accounts and to ensure the people who receive scholarships are genuinely interested in the work.

Leadership

Minds IN Order was founded by Tom Wootton, who brings decades of experience developing education-based approaches to mental health. He is the founder of Bipolar IN Order and the Bipolar & Depression Outcomes Research Institute (BDORI), and has spent his career working to change the conversation about mental health from limitation to possibility.

Relationship to BDORI

Minds IN Order works in close partnership with BDORI, the Bipolar & Depression Outcomes Research Institute, which funds scholarships specifically for people managing bipolar and depressive conditions. Minds IN Order extends that mission across a broader range of mental health conditions and education programs.
